embody the strawberries is the tenth workshop in our "embody the ecosystem" series where i am channeling insight from our non-human kin as we learn to heal our relational wounds in community. this series is rooted in the world view that we, as humans, exist in a vast web of interdependent living. through our workshops we will explore practical suggestions for reconnecting to our energetic, emotional, spiritual & relational bodies as an antidote for living under the harmful conditioning of an oppressive, carceral state

i will spend the weeks leading up to our workshop communing with the strawberries as growing season in the midwest brings fresh strawberries in the fields around me. strawberries have been close companions for me as i've benefitted so much from their wisdom over the past few years. in preparation for our workshop, i will continue to nurture that relationship. wild strawberries often have a lot to say about building reciprocal relationships of consent. and they can be powerful guides for setting boundaries as a way to facilitate more authentic & sustainable connections
in this workshop you can expect :
* an exploration of life as the strawberries through a sensory experience : what does it look, feel, taste, sound like to move through the world like the strawberries
* practical suggestions & embodied invitations for integrating energetic wisdom into your everyday life

i'm new to communicating with the non-human world, do i have to have experience to attend?
nope! all levels of experience are welcome. the workshop is formulated as an experiment in making energetic wisdom more accessible
when you say "embody", can you share more about what that means?
through the lens that i share this work, embodiment is a way to locate ourselves in time & space. through the effects of our conditioning, environmental factors, family systems & enforced social norms under racialized capitalism & whiteness - we may find ourselves disconnected from our feeling & sensing bodies. embodiment is a pathway to returning to our physical, emotional, relational & spiritual aspects of self in a way that feels in alignment with our needs, desires & core values
i'm not sure if i can make the workshop live, will a recording be made available?
yes, a recorded video of our time together will be sent out to everyone who registers via email (24-48 hours after our meeting time) even if you were unable to make it in real time. although many folks find the interactive element of the live workshop to be supportive for building connections & practicing with other folks who are navigating similar terrain
